Former Death Row inmate Kerry Max Cook was wrongfully convicted of the rape and murder of 21-year-old Linda Jo Edwards in 1977 and served over 22 years in a Texas prison on Death Row. Since his release, Cook became an activist against the death penalty, speaking across the United States and in Europe. He wrote Chasing Justice published by HarperCollins detailing his conviction, the widespread prosecutorial abuses which led to it, and the battle to prove his innocence.
GCW undertook a multi-faceted approach to clear Kerry Max Cook's name and amplify his voice against the death penalty, supporting his memoir and stage show.
